yeah, good old restrictor rings in FG's. emissions...

if your cam phasers are doing what they should be doing, then they won't be leaking at all :spoton:

Gah emissions...wheres the fun in that???

Have noticed quite a decent trace of oil in intake crossover pipe on this thing - was hoping that's just the umm relaxed clearances in turbo engines letting a little blow-by past?

a little bit of oil in the intake tract is 100% normal for these cars, from the lack of a catch can.

emissions, yep... only those government mandated requirements for car manufacturers which allows them to make money by selling cars :stirthepot:

It went smoothly without any major upsets so that was good. The clunk remains however so I'll be looking at it another day when it's a bit cooler.

FTFY

According to my hp tuners scanner the cam phasers are working. It's just leaking seals mate.

seals are part of the cam phaser plug thingo, so I think of them as the same piece of equipment, but you're right.

Haha you should have seen how much oil was in the plug hole. The missus came outside and wondered what all the smoke was about.
