I struggled to get a drive at a few dealers I went to. Only ever experienced it at Ford.

Mazda gave me a car for a weekend hoping I'd buy it, vw saw me looking at an R36 and the salesman came to say hi with keys in his hand.

How'd the R36 go?? I gave it a thought but then thought again.. ha

I found this depended on the type of car. To get a test drive in a T I had to be genuinely interested but for a Mondeo, a dealer was happy to tow me the keys and send me off just while I was randomly looking, lol.
