Stick with your first offer to them and don't budge if they want a sale, they'll move Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/79581-pricing-for-2012-fg-mkii/page/3/#findComment-1221769 Share on other sites

Initially, I had $50k in my head as a target but it looks like if I offered that, I'd just get laughed at. At the same time, I obviously don't want to offer $57.5k when I know they can go lower... Just give it time, and doubt they'd make many sales now anyway as people would be waiting for the sales. They'll be hungry for sales soon enough lol. PookeyMaster Donating Members 1,531 Member For: 14y 6m Gender: Male Location: Parramatta, NSW Posted 20/05/12 10:36 AM Author Share Posted 20/05/12 10:36 AM Well, prices are improving. I went to the dealer nearest me and they had a brand new 0km G6ET for $55,500 drive-away ($1,250 improvement over the written quote I got 7 weeks ago). Only problem is you can tell it's been used as the sitting demo as there's dirt all over the carpet, fingerprints on the touchscreen, etc......and it's the wrong colour for me Geez I'm fussy, lol.He said they've lowered their prices and were having a 4-day sale (posters and sh*t everywhere, even put up a fence along the outer perimeter of the dealer with a huge banner thing on it, lol) because they've been the number 1 dealer on the east coast this year but their numbers have slipped this month and the Dealer Principal wants to maintain the record, bahaha. Anyways, I now have a written quote for $55,000 flat for a 2012 May or newer build Silhouette G6ET with floor mats.Should I push towards the end of this month or leave it till June? My only apprehension with June is 'running out of time' if I leave it and then the EOFY discounts will be gone... But the closer you drag towards the end of June the more flexible they will be..They don't want cars on the lot for EOFY.. Donating Members 15,637 Member For: 18y 25d Gender: Male Location: Melbourne Posted 21/05/12 03:48 AM Share Posted 21/05/12 03:48 AM I just sold a 2010 model with 27k for 33k so that's what your 50k+ car will be worth in under 2 years. That's over 10k a year in value.Your mad if you buy brand new IMO. Buy a demo at least.Or buy a 2010 model and go on a $20,000 holiday lol. 1 Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/79581-pricing-for-2012-fg-mkii/page/3/#findComment-1240666 Share on other sites
