What brands did you sell Fluffy? I was remembering you did sales while I was writing that post. I thought you might pop up. We must have had a rough commision structure, as at one stage I was selling new Lancers faster than we could get them in. I had customers sitting in the lounge buying cars off the "to build" list from Japan. Cars that didn't even exist yet as I'd already sold all of ours and I still didn't think I was making enough. I live in a town of about 38,000 people and all of us salespeople were selling around 12 to 15 cars each a month in the new department. How many was your team doing in SA? I'm starting to wonder if our sales were a little low compared to yours. My boobs aren't too flash, but the charm and personality kept the customers coming back. He he!!!

I worked for ford ... Who else lol.

We did 80 or so new cars a month between 3 of us.

Was good fun...but the hours are ghey...

I got a 40k a year base plus generous commissions

$40k a year... Jesus... Commission would wanna be MASSIVE!

Commission was about 70% of my earnings .... But I loved the job... I got to drive around in fpv and turbos all day... Company car with fuel card which could be whatever I wanted out of the yard pretty much... Was fun

That kicks the crap out of our pay package. No car. No fuel. $490 per week take home plus commision, which was 5% of profit. Sales people didn't stay too long. The other yards around here are very similar. It seemed alright for a while after doing 80 hour weeks at other jobs until the money started running out. Doing AQIS work now. 5 day weeks. Every weekend off. Are you doing nursing now, Fluffy? That's a lot of work and you get some unappreciative patients too. Keeps the workaholic going for a while.
