An Order For A Gtho Has Been Placed!

Featured Replies

My dealer showed me an order on his computer that someone has placed for a GTHO, deposit and all.

FPV when contacted were very cagey about it but said late 2004 would be 'realistic' and quoted $110k ball park figure.

Geez Al

You nearly had me going with the title. I thought you'd skipped the GT and ordered one

Not doubting what you are saying Red, but I'll believe it when I see it. Ford have big shoes to fill when it comes to the GTHO.

Now you may all call me a stick choker, but l know the person who has placed the deposit on the GTHO, about 6 weeks ago now.

l have had the privelage of speaking to this person on the phone. They said that FPV had contacted them several times. FPV havent started engineering on the car yet, and it sounded to me like they were still at the stage of deciding on what should go into the car, so its a while off yet. From the converstion l had with this person l would guess the car is closer to 2 years away.

So its true. The deposit holder has budgeted $130k for the GTHO, so it will be interesting to see just what the final price is, but l reckon it will be kept below 100 grand for the base car with many options available to suit all tastes/desires.

BTW, the deposit holder is a member here, but l have been sworn to secrecy. Who knows, he/she may jump in on this thread.
