Plazma Replacement Or Process West Stage 1 Std Pipes

Featured Replies

Hello,

Im a bit unsure of whether the much bigger size of the process west intercooler will make much difference/benefit in cooler air temps for me at this sort of power level in cooling.

I want an easy replacement cooler but I want to get the air cool as I can as well (within reason).

Im wondering if its worth it for me having all that extra piping at the front bar which is required cause of the size of the process west intercooler, id prefer not to have if I dont have to.

Then again for the size of the core compared to the plazmaman, the process west is alot bigger for similar price good value - but will that effect the radiator/water temps in summer...?

Then again ones bar and plate the other tube and fin so this may/not effect cooling as well?

If anyone can help me with these questions be much appreciated.

I was in the same dilemma as you were 3 months ago, I went the process west as it is larger for not much more cash. I havent fitted it as yet as I haven't got around to doing the tune. A mate at work has a PW stage 1 with 310rwkw in a bf and he loses bugger all on dyno runs through heat soak and no probs with engine temps and he lives western sydney as well.

I just fitted a process west stg 1 intercooler on my bf about a month ago and got 302rwkw on a stock exhaust with a high flow cat.

It's got more in it but the stock actuator is holding it back. Great quality cooler for a direct replacement, it leaves the stock cooler for dead.

was there any cutting needed to fit it? I heard its a pretty easy fit

My tuner did the fitting, it was a pretty simple install with no cutting according to him. If you're going down this path, I recommend the p/w ubp to go with it.

Both kits seem very easy to install I want to keep it as close to factory as possible so that's a good thing. No removing airbox/snorkel so really limited to these kits as I dont really like the hyperflow or pwr and there not really cheaper enough for me to be worth it. I see the abbreviation ubp typed everywhere...what is it?

Plus I've seen both the process west and plazmaman in the flesh and am happy with the build and cores on both. Top notch

Just been on both site's and think the process west looks a little better, plazmaman really looks like a glorified monza. process looks better built, whats the price of the process west as site does not say.

You can't go wrong with either one.

$1050 for the p/w cooler

$90 for the ubp.
