If that was the case, I think it would be hitting limp mode at 2500-3000rpm when it goes over stock boost. Not up high like coils.

Always going to be restricted by the cat. It wont overboost with a cooler.

Tobey is right. Cooler wont overboost by itself, but high flow cat definately can - if not tuned to suit.

But at those revs I doubt its got anything to do with boost spike.....

A stock car doesn't do that. Only tuned cars.

You're never going to get an engine replaced under warranty on a modified car and it's wrong to try.

Used "warranties" almost don't exist unless its from a major chain like Expensive Daewoo or Ford which make you pay more for the car to start with - but if you bought from a small independant you will have basically no chance at all.....
