Fpv Or Xr6T?...

I'm looking to buy a new ute in the next few months. Have only just started researching them, I am currently in a 2005 BF XR8 fully opted (Leather, Premo, H/Top etc)which I have added a few mods to (headers, hi flow cats, 19 inch G6E Turb rims, Flash Tune, underdrive kit, pedders springs, Airbag load support, Hayman reece t/bar, pioneer USB/Bluetooth h/unit in console etc)

Utes I have been looking at are FG XR6T - Auto, Leather, Tech = Low $30's with the mileage I will accept or:

FG FPV F6 - Auto = Low $40's

So, can anyone tell me if the extra $10K is worth the spend? will the F6 be the better allround buy for the extra $10K...

Also:

I need the ute to tow 2200kg so my next item to research is how (if at all) I can increase the amount of weight I can tow with an FG... any idea's?... can I just add load support bags an a custom tow bar then have it re-rated?...

take the xr6t and put 10k into it, the f6 will seem like a slug after that :D or just have a major holiday or whatever !

Yeah, My boat is basically 2,200kg but it tows real nice. I am going to a turbo as I have been told the turbo 6's are absolute tow rig weapons!...

I was thinking the F6 would be the better buy to get the nice suspension, bigger brembo brakes, flash little bumper bar eyelid things and a cool little button to push when starting that makes you feel like your in the latest ferrari with a huge boot!!. But it seems to make sense to just buy the XR6T and spend money wisely into performance, handling and towing upgrades...

I bought an XR6T & saved the $. The $ saved has so far bought a full set of bilsteins & a few key bushes, springs f&r, 6 spot brembo's & DBA 5000's for the front, next month will be BBS rims & tyres. I'm not worried about KW...yet.

You have to consider the other extra's the FPV comes with, not only the name and style, extra creature comforts and bigger wheels but also the fact it's got Brembo's as standard (which will cost you a few grand to upgrade the XR6T) and also the better resale of the FPV. The better brakes are a MUST for the amount your towing

What your not remembering is all fpv models are 1600kg tow rating doesn't matter what tow bar or man/ auto.

Auto hduty tow PAC fg xr6t is your new car

I think you got that wrong. Pretty sure the fpvs are tow rated at 2200 or maybe a bit more and the xrs are 1600kg. Was in the BF surely would carry through to the fg.

Nah he's spoton, maximum across all FPVs is 1600 (1200 manuals).

They are only meant to pose and not do any real work.
