I have DBA 5000 on my typhoon (slotted only) with 6 piston brembo and they make no noise. I have 4 piston brembo with DBA 4000 (slotted only) on the rear of my typhoon and they make no noise. I have used DBA 4000 (slotted only) with PBR FPV blue calipers and they made no noise. Have used RDA dimpled gold with the previously stated calipers and they make a swishing sound when you apply the brakes. I have DBA 4000 slotted and drilled on the front of a VE Late model camira and they make no noise. We have 6 piston AP with 2 piece slotted discs with 4 piston on the rear with DBA 4000 slotted only on the Nizpro car and it makes no noise.

These discs will be going on Todds BA and I'll pickup a set of 6 or 4 piston brembo

Just a bit of info on the brakes I have tried.

I have the gold 4000 on my fg and they are rooted just over 6 months old. I'm taking thenm off and going back to standard rotor that took more punishment then the Dba rotor. I emailed DBA and never heard jack from them. As a company I think they are useless. I won't be going for dab again it's the 2nd time I have had issues with them. Anyway just having my say. Imagine they had done the right thing and offered customer service beyond Wat they have, they may actually see decent comments on the forum.

Hey benny

Mate I

Running my 2 2nd set of ferodos. I used them with standard rotors and never an issue. Bought a new pair and installed same time as the new rotors. Did all the usual bedding in. The car does alot of hwy ks. Since having the rotors on I have prob done 15000 ks. Maybe a little more. They warped bad and I had them machined and they are on there way out again. They get worked hard on our cruises that's about it.

I use dba 4000 slotted on my BA and they work fine. Only quibble I had was I questioned why I saw rust on one and no rust on the other (hard to explain without pics). I was told they came from different batches but I still find that answer strange - just that I bought them at the same time and can't believe I was given one that had been lying around on a shelf for such a long time. But could well be. My main concern at the time was whether both were genuine dba 4000 slotted and I was told from the serial numbers that they were.

I have used countless sets of 4000's with no issue, but to be fair I have bought any for at least 18mths. I hope this thread isn't a look into the future of DBA
