I have one to trump yer old pal there. I'venever ever replaced brake discs to any car other than my renault 5 GTturbo (which ate them ) 20yrs ago. pads, yes,discs (rotors) never ever ! drive,brake the way you are supposed to and you won't need to replace them (obviously depends on power/usage) within any 5yr period. gear braking. dont sit up folks ass, dont ride the brake, (brake hard then off, no consistent long braking where you overheat/warp them ) .loads of ways to avoid it but I assume you may be a pup and not much time in the seat ! .
