Fg F6 Fuel Economy

Hi guys just wanted to find out what people are getting in their FG f6's auto or manual.... on highway, city and mixed.

my current BA turbo (4 speed auto) does 18L/100 town, 14L/100 mix, 10L/highway.

I can live with poor fuel round town but 18L doing the shopping run is a little steep to me.

My F6 sedan is an auto and most of my driving is mixed, it constantly returns high 11's/low 12's and even when pushing it I still haven't seen it go over 14 on a tank. It is factory stock and I mostly use E10 (it has travelled over 50,000 k's and struggle to pay the price for 98 Octane). If doing long country trips it will easily sit high 8's.

around these figures is normal. But performance and fuel economy don't mix.

Its all comes down to how you drive it- push it in the city and you'll use way more than 18l/100

Hmmm - I would be very surprised if any FG F6 does 8s on a highway.....the computer might say that, doubt its reality.

Most sit around 10-11, up to 15-16 for city. (and as Dre said, way more than that if pushed as any Ford T loves a drink.....)

My car averages 8-9 on the highway. 11-12 around town.

No reason a F6 would be any different to a XR6T.

Did you take two cyclinders off and now runing an inline 4 with T? Only reason you would get those figures. I know of plenty fo guys with all sorts of models of Ts and no one can get near what you claim........
