If so who has the most competitive price in Australia?• Also is it worth getting a reconditioned turbo (as in old housing but brand new core...)• Or would it be worth while just getting the existing turbo reconditioned...The concern relates to the difference in price of the above options.E.g., if the price difference between a reconditioned unit and a brand new unit ends up being a couple of hundred dollars after fitment then you would just bight the bullet and get a brand new unit.What are people thoughts and experience on this?Any advice is appreciated…

A new stock turbo should be 2500 - 2700. Be careful of rebuilt, as exhaust housings crack at the bolt holes. Also if your looking to mod get the flapper , porting and actuator done on the new unit.

6BOOST Legacy Donating Member 139 Member For: 18y 8m Gender: Male Posted 23/11/10 10:47 AM Posted 23/11/10 10:47 AM Turbotech in W.A do them for $1750ish and MTQ are about the same....He was meaning $1990 for an internal gate turbo, not an external at a guess, internal gate turbo's are a lot more expensive than the external, however the turbine housing is a direct swap.We are now stocking the FP range of billet comp wheel turbo's, the same as Darios used to make 600rwkw on a GT35 size turbo, for the money this would be the better option over one of those $2500 66mm upgrades.6BOOST
