Thailand Power Adaptor

hey guys,

Going to Thailand in 7 weeks for a fornight :roflmbo:

Well im taking my Netbook and my Digital Camera with me, and both items have their own power packs for recharging... Normally I would scour ebay and find a remedy for $1 posted, but it seems the opposite in this case! if I was buying a thai product but needed a aussie plug adaptor No worries!! but taking my aussie plugs to thailand and finding an adaptor seems to have me stuffed lol.

Anybody know of a reasonably priced item that will work in Thailand?

Cheers fellas.

Adam got it spot on. I carry 2 with me when I travel. You can buy all these gizmos for about $25 at the duty frees when leaving Syd Bris Perth or Melb just make sure you don't need a voltage adapter. I bought an iron back from the USA and it blew up in the missus hands, got no shirts ironed for a week :spoton:

hmm seems theres 2 sorts that can be used over there... 1 has 2 round prongs and the other has 2 vertical flat prongs.

"apparently" the wall sockets in thailand have a wierd hole that can accept both shapes, like a "p" shape for each prong.

anybody ever seen a thailand wall plate first hand?

Yep the Thai wall plate is exactly as you descibe. Just need an adapter, works well when I'm there.

Definitely dont buy from the Airport as you'll get jipped on price but most luggage places sell the Korjo branded ones. Usually have a good selection for different countries. I have heaps but then again I have a bit of a travel packing / suitcase fetish lol. I just bought this killa new suitcase that I can lift with my pinky, supposedly super strong and a lifetime warranty. Hardly baggage handler proof though im sure.

I've used the two rounded prongs in several asian countries before so you'll be ok.

Blackberries have it sorted with little clip adapters for their chargers.

Fortnight is a great amount of time for a SE Asian holiday!
