Nice work. YTou have used low priced speakers, what is the efficiency like, compared to standard? Do you have to turn the volume up higher than the standards to get the same noise level.

Does anyone know the dept of the factory speakers? Or the deepest you can can go?

I have them out, but I'm not home until Thursday. My spacers are not as big as the factory ones, so there is quite a bit of room to play with.

And going by the awesome detailed door skin removal instructions here and on AFF, the front doors are a 10 minute job to take off and put back on. First time may take longer, but once you have done it, so easy!

will the window interfere with how deep you can go or window doesnt go that low? ive barely sat in an fg to take note. what stuff u installing dillz?

You shouldn't have any problems with a spacer or the factory plastic... How deep can a speaker get? lol...

Nothing yet, just over the crappy factory ones. That and the doors are starting to develop noise, need soundproofing.

well id hope its something decent anyway if youre going to the effort of taking the skins off n replacing speakers. the orig speaker and spacer is one piece n needs to be hacked. most aftermarket speakers would go deeper than the piss poor ones we get standard. and the plastic is crap anyway, make mdf mounts. much better

ah yeh, how much of the door overall were u thinking of deadening? just behind the magnet on the outer frame and the whole inner metal frame? also just replace the 8in sub with another 8in or going for bigger in the boot?
