Hi, You wont need the plenum for anything under 400RWKW so get the kit minus the plenum. Buy the IC and single pipe and then get a seperate cold air box and piping. Over 400RWKW have a look at the Atomic FG intake upgrade for the B series falcons.

Hi, I have a BF Typhoon, that is standard at the moment. I can hear the injectors tapping away like a VN commodore. On the holdens it was an issue with the fuel pipe not being secured and rubber isolated. Has anyone had this issue. Is there a fix?

Hi, I have a BF Typhoon with climate control. When I first start the car and take off (usually from cold), I can hear a pump noise, sounds like it is filling the vacumm pipes for the Climate. Is this normal?

Hi All, I am fitting an APS IC which takes up the space used by the factory power steering cooler. I have two options: (I) Relocate the standard cooler (ii) Buy a smaller aftermarket cooler Where is the best place to re-locate the power steering cooler? My preferred option is to retain the original unit, but where do I locate this?

Hi, I own a very neat Typhoon. It has the standard interior, which is nice but a little drab. I can get a the leather Typhoon upgrade and then I sat in an GT-P (nice seats). Gentlemen, am I destroying the heritage and potentially the re-sale value by putting in an GT-P interior. Should I just get the leather Typhoon interior? Your thoughts please. One thing I will be doing is upgrading to 6/4 pot brembo's. I think that will satisfy the originality needs and give a nice upgrade.

Where you getting 380RWKW with the same performance bits ie plazman plenum and IC. Was 450RWKW achieved on pump fuel or e85?

Hi, Big difference in power with a plenum change. What set up were you running, I am about to embark on my upgrade path using APS gear.

He still achieved good power on 98 Octane, similar to what others are getting with a Plenum. What's your setup?

It also proves that an after market plenum is not required to achieve that power level.

All, In an effort to find the best and importantly quiet exhaust system I am looking for volunteers that may have a DB noise tester (not sure if the Iphone App. is up to the task to do some testing). Here is my proposal for us on this forum to get a co-ordinated and consistency and diagnosis on this much discussed topic. Obtain a list of major exhaust options for the B and F series Turbo's (including stock upgraded dump/cat options) Organised with the following columns: Car/Model Exhaust RWKW Mods Interior Idle level Exterior Idle Level 60KM level 80KM level 100KM level (This is an example only, figures are made up and for illustrative purposes) BF Typhhon APS full Exhaust 300RWKW Exhaust/Injectors/Tune Interior 50db at 600RPM Exterior 60db at 600RPM 60KM/H 55DB at 1400RPM 80KM/H 60DB at 1500RPM 100KM/H 65DB at 1650RPM What do you think? All, We all know the benefits of switching the battery location to allow the air pick up point to be as close as possible to the turbo. However, besides the obvious downsides I.e. cost to move the battery/purchase an overpriced filter system and insurance issues, there are two major issues faced: Increased Induction Noise. Increase risk of water entering the system with a POD filter arrangement. (I think there is a real risk with using under battery POD systems). I have started this thread to see if anyone has come up with a solution to this issue. Ideally, it would be great if one could move the factory filter box accross to the drivers side, however there is insufficient space to do this transfer because of the location of the electrical fuse arrangement. Has anyone tried adapting another manufactures air box? Has anyone tried using the FORD factory XR8 snorkel, is there sufficient space?

We all know which is the better finished package, no competition here. (ii) Ford marketing is terrible. Ford has a far better engineered product, we know that does the population? (iii) We are witnessing the last Aussie Falcon because of points (I) and (ii). The 4.0L is destined for retirement:( Can it do with a fresh'n up? Yes with a focus on quality. Look what they were able to achieve with the B series, best turn around in history for Australia. Remember the quality of the BA BF, brilliant, arguably still a better looking package! FG - well if you like plastic and the back seat head rests, or lack of, seriously!!!!! Driving position! What can they do? Pull their bloody finger out before they blow this gig! What's required: (a) Company focus on Australia retention. (b) Government backing via tax changes, my suggestion provide lease incentives for people that lease Ausie cars. Is this Rocket science? They should fit, they are the same offset as the aftermarket rims. The FG rims do not fill the guards as the proper BF rims. Tell you what I will buy two off you and we cn both get a new set of BF rears at FORD

Did you buy the FG Argents off a ute from E-bay? I was seriously considering these as they were low KM's in good nik including original tyres. The only issue is that the standard BF Phoon has a different rear offset, which I am chasing. I have a brand new factory spare Argent with an unused tyre, which will go in the boot. If I cannot source a set you may be interested?
