Because that is just so stupid - it is the sort of silly decision that American courts make, I didn't realise Australia was going the same way!

They couldn't keep up in a standard Falcon therefore they couldn't be sure the lambo was breaking the speed limit? Give me a break, if you're doing around 150km and not catching up then obviously its going faster than you! Or do you guys have areas with speed limits over 150?

So many people get off on a technicality when they are obviously guilty but at the same time a lot of people get done for stupid things just because it's written in the rule book even though common sense would say otherwise.

for example you get done for talking on the phone even if you are on the side of the road unless your handbrake is up and the car is in park (or some similar sh*t like that) so us manual drivers are f*cked either way .

Anyway why are we talking about this in the GT thread??? Can one of the OPs delete all these posts?

Yeah your absolutely right, common sense can't really be associated with the law.

I was simply intimating that it is no longer so simple as to say a 'falcon' has no chance of cutting the mustard with an exotic sports car.

With the new F6 and SC GS/GT the humble taxi has become a true performance vehicle capable of toppling some big names, at least until you get to a corner!

Lol, are you serious? When I see a "humble taxi" do 0-100 in under 4 seconds from the factory then I will be impressed.

As it stands it is a relatively quick family sedan that holds it's own against most equivilent euro's but that is all.
