wagnman Member 567 Member For: 17y 2m 27d Posted 21/07/13 11:52 AM Author Posted 21/07/13 11:52 AM I think I need some different number plate lights now the yellowish light looks crap. I have also just bitten the bullet and ordered some personalized plates finally. They are slim line black with silver letters and have the word UNLOAD on them which is in reference to my two companies Australian Container Unloading Group and APL (Australian Port Logistics). Oh and before anyone says anything, no this has nothing to do with the Steve Loader burn out cars as I have wanted this plate for years before I saw it on his car. 1

I'm hitting eBay today and ordering a heap of white leds fur the inherit so I'm having a couple for the plates lights as well. Dags we get raped for the personalized plates he in qld as it is so I just ordered the black and silver. I've chosen the Layby option so I'll just pay them off. Won't take long.I wish it was like the NT. When I lived there you could get any plate you wanted for $75 regardless of configuration. squeezed from the zit of my imagination. Did you have to remove the whole assembly on each side and take it apart? Personalised plates in NSW are crap too, $440 per year if I wanted POOKEY in white text on a black plate. Glad you kept the car too, it's a good all round G6ET.

They come as a complete assembally so all I had to do was pull back the interior boot trim and remove the whole old tail Light (3 nuts hold each tail Light onto the car) then put the new light in and screw the the nuts back on and replace the trim. Takes like 10 min per side. squeezed from the zit of my imagination. Edited 24/07/13 11:49 PM by wagnman
wagnman Member 567 Member For: 17y 2m 27d Posted 29/07/13 11:16 AM Author Posted 29/07/13 11:16 AM I've changed all the interior and number plate globes with white LEDs and I'm very happy with the results. Nice bright light makes the old globes seem dull and crappy. Here's a before and after shot of the map lights, the led is a far brighter and cleaner light. Couldn't get a good shot of the interior it in the dark yet the camera wasn't playing the game. This was as good as it got. Doesn't capture how bright it is. It's alot brighter. Here's a before shot of the number plate lights. And an after one with the leds installedHere's a couple of other random shots. squeezed from the zit of my imagination. 1
