No Tyre rotation, nor were wheels removed from car for that mater!

Vibration still there, occational weird S#&T happens in the gearbox now,

That's strange another thread says those calibrations aren't on the latest ECU update.

Had the 15,000km service done today.

They tell me they reflashed the computer to fix the stalling problem. However according to FORDTECH the new calibrations have not yet been released so we will see what happens with this problem. It has been a while since my car has stalled even during the really hot weather here in Brisbane I did not have any probs.

Brakes were skimmed and new shims installed.

Everything else was fine, no other problems however as I was pulling out of their driveway I experienced a shuddering sensation in the steering so went back to see them in the service department. They told me this is a common problem with BAs. They wound the steering from lock to lock about 8 times and shudder is now gone. Never had this problem before!!!

In spite of these problems it was great to get back into the T. I had a BA XT loaner whilst mine was being serviced and I must say I was missing the power and handling of my T.

When they wound the steering from lock to lock about 8 times did they do it whilst the car was stationary ? I was told to do 8 or 12 slow figure 8's (lock to lock) to get rid of the shuddering in mine. Yet to do that yet - and still get shuddering every slow turn I make!! Driving me insane!!

Yeah I'm up for my 15k in the next few weeks. Initially my car had the cracking in the steering that's now fixed (after 4 attempts) but I also have shuddering, only when stationery.

Have any of you experienced the steering fighting back at you when turning at very low speeds, I.e U turn?

I will ask on Wednesday when it goes in for it's new Diff!

Could have air in the system this causes the shuddering or gratting usually lock to lock bleeds the air out, sometime you need to bleed it manully similar to brakes. Im still waiting for my new diff, there only changeing it because it has a small oil leak from the back housing I hope the new one I get isnt any worse in the cluncking department.

They wound it whilst it was stationary. The guy told me if I ever experienced the problem then to wind it from lock to lock about 8 times and this will bleed the air from the system which is causing the fault.

Why is there air in the system in the first place? There is a problem causing this and will probably reoccur until fixed I cant see it getting better on its own. My response to their "8 turns and its fixed" comment would be to ask "please fix it up so it dosn't happen again"

Spoke with the guys from Knox Ford today at the APS open day and they said to go out into a big carpark and do the figure 8's while driving, then when you get home jack up the front of the car and leave it for a couple of hours!

I know this may sound strange but they were genuine.
