Hi City Ford in the city, is very good service they will look after you.I always took my car there and I was look after very well.

regards

I got my MkII T back from 15K service, following are a few items requested to be looked at and their status, the car is stock.

1. Steering Wheel Clunking when driving one wheel over small humps (driveway) - not fixed, it was originally looked at 3K service but wasn't fixed then

2. Rear Seat rattle - not fixed

3. Front Carpet Mats buckled - not replaced

4. Park Brake noise while driving - fixed - now very bad rear brake noise when braking - whattha !

5. Gears jerking between 1st & 2nd on acceleration and braking - not even looked at - this is getting very annoying along with the noise when braking.

6. Service Invoice $ 398

To summarise, not a Happy Jan. when I spend $ 50k for a car I expect it to be in a much better condition at 15k on top I expect to get the issues fixed up when reported at the service centre.

can someone help me recommend some place near South Sydney (Alexandria) where I could get better service than what I've been getting.

took the ute in for its 15K service this mornin, supplied my own "FUCHS" oil and filter to save a few $$. left them with 3 things I wanted checked out...

1. gearshift boot is cracking in the bottom

2. rear 1/4 window outer mouldings coming outwards 1/2inch

3. Bloody chattery clutch/gearbox when clutch disengaged.

picked it up this arvo to a damn cheap bill of $77 and all reports of the car in general were "all fine".

warranty stuff:

1. gearshift boot on order.

2. New 1/4 black window plastic panel on order.

3. heres the big story.... when the ute had 3000km's on it I took it into ford worried about a noise I thought was the thrust bearing in the clutch... they replaced the thrust bearing free of charge and I picked the car up and whatta ya know... NO DIFFERENT!! I was furious.. had it out with the service guy, he told me the usual "ITS NORMAL" gay story and I left in a 1st to 2nd gear smokey up the road... not a happy jan! :censored::gooff:

well today FINALLY they say ITS NOT NORMAL :fool: and they rang the ford tech guys in melb or wherever and their gunna call back on tuesday with a fix. they checked out my gearbox today and narrowed out its not the clutch making noise its the box itsself (5spd manual) so they checked the oil in it and they said its dirty!! like VERY dirty... wierd cuz the car only has 15,000 on the clock... so their either gunna replace my box, or send down sum special additive crud to try with new oil... either way im not gunna give up till im happy and the noise is gone! but a good end result so far....

ill keep yous posted on what they reckon next week :spoton:

Please keep us posted as I have also gone down the same path with the rattling noise from the gearbox. So far I have hit a brick wall with the issue even after providing 2 independent opinions saying that the noise is definately gearbox related,Ford still won't budge.I am keen to see what the outcome is Trough Lolly.

hi, had problems with my box being noisy in 1st and 3rd and the clutch getting heavy, dealer says the gearbox is normal and the clutch was heat affectedand yuo can guiess no comeback , everything wrong with the car is a result of the chip :spoton: , just an excuse not to repair any thing . they will replace my diff after complaining for 48k I suppose that's something, I am getting around the gearbox and clutch problems by replaceing them with a 6speed and 11inch clutch, it should be here this week :spoton:

Thanks for the feedback, but it's the outcome that was excpected.

I personally am not giving up on the issue and my next point of call is to get some legal advice.Probably a waste of time, but I will not give up without a fight.

hi guys and girls I will need my 15000 km service soon and was wondering if there is anything I should ask for in particular, also what price should I expect to pay for it? the car is stock standard in the engine department.
