30/06/09 11:38 AM30/06/09 11:38 AM #12 loosen my intake plumbing eh NO put more boost into it then you will here the sounds your looking forand yes deisels are different our landý v8 tt deisel whistles nicely at 2.5k -3k rpm but that's just a sign of how hard thier working to give you the power

Tiny turbos give of a mad whistle and the gt3582r is not a tiny turbo hence the lack of intense whistle when spooling up.My mates got a large Garrett on his GQ Patrol, the whistle sound comes from his mainly cause of the straight through 3" exhaust no mufflers, and yes diesel no vacuum so on idle their running 0psi, so it doesn't take much to see boost
02/07/09 01:00 AM02/07/09 01:00 AM #14 Are you serious? No vacuum because it's a deisel? What drugs are you on. Every engine produces vacuum. Some more than others but they all produce vacuum.
02/07/09 03:49 AM02/07/09 03:49 AM #15 Back to school little boy, Diesel do not have vacuum! There is no butterfly in the throttle, the induction is controlled by the fuel pump. Inject more diesel, bang is bigger, more air gets sucked in, revs go up.

10/07/09 05:15 AM10/07/09 05:15 AM #20 I guess I am learning something too, but I'm not sure what. I had a turbo cruiser with a butterfly and it was constantly and consistently in vacuum on the overrun. My turbo FG also makes a loud whistle about halfway up the rev range under solid boost. At full boost high revs the noise almost vanishes. All the exhaust plumbing, turbo and piping fasteners are all tight and have been since new. All the the piping was removed and checked for leaks. The noise persists. Power and economy seem normal. So I'm stuck with the noise it seems, until something lets go.
