Boost Controller

Hey dudes, a friend who works at autobahn said someone came in with a BF 6T and wanted an electronic boost controller. I was always under the impression that 6T's cant use them, something to do with the computer or whatever which is why they have the flash tune boxes.

Is that right or can we indeed install electronic boost controllers instead of flash tunes? if so what are the pro's and con's?

cheers

I was thinking of fitting a 2 stage adjustable boost controller to my "T", as far as I have been told it is an easy installation and I believe you can only boost more than your existing wastegate psi. I'm sure someone will know.

Still a bit more investigation before I hand over the cash. :dontknow:

They can be fitted, but only if tuned to the higher boost setting. Definitely no good on an otherwise stock vehicle.
