seems to be a lot of "simon saysing" about the intercooler being the restriction, would like to find out why, e.g doesnt flow enough or inlet-outlet too small and at what kw point it becomes the restrictive part before I replaced it as the money could be put into new piping or dump pipe with the custom tune. My mate has an mk1 BA and has c.a.p.a flash tuner, nizpro valve springs, growler CAI, bigger bosch injectors all done by elite and still has the standard intercooler and exhaust and is putting out 270rwkw and all that was recommended instead of bigger intercooler and exhaust(wot the?) and my FG FPV F6 stock intercooler is twice the size of his.

that's wot I need to hear, I dont want much more than that at the moment so the stocky will be staying and will invest in maybe some new piping from the turbo an/or a dump pipe

I’m looking to install an Xforce cat in my XR6T when I get an edit. I have found two different types of XForce cats (see pics)…one is from Scotts Rods exhausts and the other is from Just Jap.

Both are apparently made by XForce. Does anyone know the differences between the two? Is one better than the other?

The one from Scott's Rods looks like it has bigger inlet/outlet & could possibly have a larger body? Too hard to tell from them pics...

The one from Scotts Rods also looks to have a larger body too. I would say that one would be better suited to our cars

I am pretty sure the one from Scotts Rods is 200 cells per inch and is a metal core.

The Just Jap one is 400 cells per inch and has a ceramic core...

The Scotts Rod one flows better... I put it in my car and it is making 335rwkw... :-) Cant complain about that.....

the one on the right looks like the one I have in my car.. but mines slightly bigger.

get the one on the left got on my car running 305 rwkw

Hmm. I think they stick out a bit too much, they should have it sitting more flush with the curves of the bar IMO.
