The SS feels like it takes so long to build up speed/power while the F6 is striaght away like a slap in the face.Russ Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/55580-bf-f6-or-ve-ss/page/3/#findComment-840462 Share on other sites

Build quality actually seems worse than the ford (mums 06 'rolla leaves both for dead mind you) to. I suppose I'm above average height (196cm) and build and the driving position in the VE feels very unusual. I guess you would get used to it but. Streets ahead of my GF's VZ, however! If your that tall, I'd make sure you dont get F6 with sunroof. I once sat in man pants F6 with sun roof and while sunroofs are seriously pimping, my head rubbing on the roof was annoyingI think a well driven XR would chop the SS, F6 isnt realy comparison (perhaps to the HSV's). From memory I get hammered for insurance while my dad and younger bro pay SFA. Same house / garage / similiar values etc Edited 13/03/09 03:40 AM by Mat Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/55580-bf-f6-or-ve-ss/page/3/#findComment-841046 Share on other sites

Trying to race it with a helmet on is impossible unless you lean right forward over the steering wheel A normal XR/F6 is a bit better, but you will have more room in the Commo... Daniel Member 299 Member For: 21y 10m 6d Gender: Male Posted 13/03/09 06:26 AM Share Posted 13/03/09 06:26 AM I drove both.I like both.I own F6.It is a personal thing and have a mate with a VE Bogan special ; nice but just isn't 'performance orientated' which is saying something (LOL) comparing it to a F6 which isn't really performance orientated (stock) to begin with..If you plan to do ANYTHING to them other than a TT setup on the SS, mods pay off on the F6 tenfold!Out of interest, did you ask this question on www.ls1.com.au to get some flip-side feedback?
