I know it comes back to the driver, but im after opinions of what it could run off a few with more exp. at the drags. Il put up a dyno graph, but the car is a ba turbo, 4sps auto with a 3500 stall n usind MT ET streets 275/40/17. After a realistic idea of what it has in it, cheers!

Guest Guests Posted 03/03/09 02:27 AM Posted 03/03/09 02:27 AM So it's finally hitting the track!I think it will have a low - mid 11 in it but mph will suffer slightly due to the big stall. 11.3 @ 120 is my guess with a 1.6x 60' time
ardi Member 117 Member For: 18y 4m 25d Posted 03/03/09 02:36 AM Author Posted 03/03/09 02:36 AM just wondering, with the power pulling through to the 6500 limit would you rev it right out in every gear? and why doesnt anyone change into 4th gear???

Posted 04/03/09 04:13 AM Posted 04/03/09 04:13 AM I will be taking my car to the drags soon and wanted to know whats better perf mode or manually shifting in a 4 speed auto? Also, If I throw it in perf mode, will it hold all the way in third cause I really dont wanna be changing it manually?Thanks...
Guest Guests Posted 04/03/09 04:21 AM Posted 04/03/09 04:21 AM Shift manually & stay out of 4th. $th gear is an overdrive & not designed to handle the torque pressures that will be put on the box in a drag racing situation...

Posted 04/03/09 04:58 AM Posted 04/03/09 04:58 AM (edited) There have been alot of different opinions when it comes down to "driving techniques" with the auto down the quarter. Some say just leave it in perf mode and some say drive it manually by flat shifting between 5800-6100rpm's? Im pretty hesitant driving it manually as I dont wanna damage the box but I thought the perf mode could hold in 3rd during the whole run as ppl have tried this b4 and ran good times?
