I've never been to the v8's being that im a million miles from anywhere they race but this year there making the trip to townsville in mid july (I think). We got given/won through work a full 3 day pass with a pitt pass. Cant wait to go hear what these opposed cyclinders rockets are like.

mate you will love it - the atmosphere is awesome and the fact that it is a street race just makes the sound better

ive been to queensland every year since it started and I still reckon indy sh*ts all over it for the sound (spectating aint as good though)

Indy would have to be the worst race-wise. How they start is how they finish.

will be a good experience im sure even better that its free with a pitt pass. I'm goin halves with one of my mates so he can go & we'll both have company while down there. Still a while away but something to definatly look foward to

You tend to go to QR or Indy for completly different reasons. Whilst QR is not the most inspiring track for drivers or spectators, you go there if you actually want to see the racing. Indy ain't the best track either, but whilst you see stuff all racing there, there's a lot more "other stuff" there to see

I raced at the V8 meeting at QR last year in my MX5 and might be there again this year if we can get the right deal. It was also the first time I'd seen the V8s at QR and it was worth the trip.
