The one doing it for me at the moment is that 'Put a ring on it' song. I swear to god if I ever meet Byonce or how ever you spell her name, I'll take my size 13 and question her about that song.I flick through radio stations in the car when im over my CD's, and just listen to what ever sounds catchy, and is how I sometimes listen to new songs/bands etc - and yes Triple J is in my radio memory, but I hardly ever listen to it, unless Invaders Must Die is on
27/01/09 09:25 AM27/01/09 09:25 AM #56 A few years ago I remember hearing a "now mainstream" song on triple J. The presenter said that there was a lot of people complaining because it was also played on commercial radio, and the presenter said something beautiful - "That may be so, but we did play them first, and we played them over a year ago, and yet commercial radio has only just 'discovered' them".I forget the name of the song, but it sums it up nicely, Triple J will take a chance on a song which people may or may not like which is why there is so much sh*t, and yet if a song is popular enough, of course the commercial stations are going to try to get in on the action.I've heard a lot of good stuff on Triple J that has never made it onto the commercial stations, and I've heard a lot of popular sh*t which has.
