XR8 ... a note to die for ... but handles nose heavy

XRT ... lack of note to die for .... handles sh*t loads better than the XR8

performance the same ... mods probably easier on the XRT ...

I made my choice on handling ... the XRT ute is one fantastic package ... I'm not biased ... just in love B)

I have a XR8 sedan - manual.

Things I have won against .. and lost against:

VYII Clubsport - dead even to 100

VT SS - killed me like no tomorrow

VX SS - I inched away

XR6T Ute - I inched away

VH Commoe ... killed me good !!

All of my drags stop at about 100 ish as that's plenty fast enough but it goes to show that the conventional wisdom about the XR8 doesn't wash. They are't massively underpowered and owned by every XR6T out there. The understeer isn't obvious until speeds that are stupid on public roads.

Having said that, the T is a very good car and probably better value for money.

But, as the Expensive Daewoo ad said .. There's nothing quite like a V8

But his my 2cents.

I have an Xr6T.

If you get a sedan I reckon the XR6T rocks my only gripe is that the xr8`s sound better and you get the sexy bonnet bulge.

If you get the ute theres nothing like a V8 whats really suprised me from reading all the posts is nobody has mentioned longetivity.

Espesicially if you intend on towing the V8 would definitely have the advantage as the turbo wouldnt last as long as the v8 as a work horse.

Turbo enjoy the BOOST

V8 enjoy the rumble

I dont know why people try and compare aT to a V8? one is a 6 right,the other has 8 pots,end of comparison.

Now performance well that's another story,that's what you should be comparing
