do not buy an non turbo xr6..

that is the worst investment ever.

you think the T's depreciate in value then you should see the non T's.

I am probably going to get flamed for this but if you are confident in driving and are responsible I would risk it.

I had a r32 gtr on my p's and never had any trouble with police. I am now 22 and looking at buying my second xr6 turbo.

If you are to get one keep it stock and badge it. Also put it in your parents name.

You can never really make a profit on cars ..... I think of my situation like this ... If I spend less money on a car like a r32 gts-t then I don't lose the amout of money on the difference from the purchase price between a R32 gts-t and a xr6t but saying that... you get what you pay for so its a pickle

You could always just buy a POS to drive around until you can LEGALLY drive a T.

You can save heaps of money that way.

Any which way, you can always put it in your mums name and have it insured under her name etc but if you crash it you are farked.

but now with the p plate laws just get a nice el or ef for under 2-3 k and just get the diff locked.

Dont even bother mate, I bought mine on P's and cops were the worst, pulled over all the time, checking for defects, fined for power to weight, etc. and this was just before all the new laws came in, its heaps worse now. Just save yourself the trouble and get an n\a XR6, that way you'll never be on edge when you see cops drive past. The power is good and all, but with these new laws you will lose your licence as quick as you got it, let alone getting your car impounded. Trust me man ive been through it, it seems like a good idea now but all you need is one cop to know what he's on about and its all over.

im still on my greens been pulled over plenty of times and not even questioned about the massive cooler pokin its head out my bumper haha and I no im certainly not just lucky, iv been in so much sh*t with my wagon that could barely spin the wheels haha

f*cking hate the new laws, im scared of driving my t around. lol I use my other car daily and my t is in the garage until weekends and even so I get nervous sometimes, I debadged my t and powder coated my intercooler black so its less visible lol. still edgy. but its worth it FOR THE T!!lol
