Hey guys,

I know you's are probably getting sick of answering these things but bear with me please.

I have a BA MK1 xr6t. I am putting a T56 from malwood into my car as to handle more power.

My question is I want to get into the 400rwkw club and am wondering what is needed to acheive this.

so far I have

- 42lb injectors, cold air intake, capa flash tuner.

on the way I have X-Force 3.5" exhaust, valve springs, fuel pump.

Will I need to upgrade any of the internals on the xr6 to handle this sort of power?

I am really serious to do this and need some help as I dont know much about these cars. so any help would be good..

thanks

brody

yes heavy duty rods ,pistons bearings and oil pump gears just to start with if you where to go 350rwkw you could just buy an f6 bottom end for under $3000 to go 400 is goin to get expensive

so getting a F6 bottom end is going to be the go eh? Why is it that they are stronger?

senna_T - will 60lb injectors be enough for this?

The 60lb injextors will get you there. If you try to do it with the bottom end from a ba1 it will end in tears as you will trow a rod. The bf F6 bottom end is the cheep way of getting the job done. You will have to look at an intercooler as well and maybe some pipework changes. I feel that the oilpump would also be a worth wile upgrade aswell as they do tend to fail at high rpm.

Are you looking to bolt something together yourself, or via a workshop?

Engines aside, this is one way to get 400

Bigger injectors- 60lb

Fuel pump - 044 (surge tanks is a good idea to use, maybe a fuel reg)

Intercooler (not a direct swap cooler, something big and high flowing)

Plenum

Piping to suit IC-plenum

Intake- 3 or 4inch (not under battery type intake)

4inch exhaust- turbo back

Tuned on 18-20psi

Turbo wastegate enlarged (or external gate)

Stonger accuator (or external gate)

Then a very good clutch, twin or tripple plate to hold the power.

Most likely via a workshop...
