June 11, 200818 yr #1 Hey Guys,For any P Platers in VIC, I recieved this in the mail today, Along with a set of Green P Plates.I dont understand why we must change from green to red, Why not just make the people who get their P's after July 1st get Green P's ... Stupid Government! My car will look lame with Green P's! Edited June 11, 200818 yr by SubJimbo
June 11, 200818 yr #2 Someone in at Vic Roads has a brother who manufactures P plates, so they tee'd up a deal for a bulk purchase and the Vic Roads bloke got a sling. This is fact.
June 11, 200818 yr #4 that's the same as NSW, Red P's for 1 year, then Greens for 2 years! Its a long time to be on a probational licence IMO
June 11, 200818 yr #5 back when I was a boy in Qld you had your Ps ( no plates on the car) for 12 months , is that still the case ??
June 11, 200818 yr #6 Author Nope, You allways have to have the plates shown,Its freaking stupid of them, why not make P1 Green and P2 Red? Rather than P1 Red and P2 Green, What a waste of money.Oh wait, They can pay for it all now with the alcopops tax.. :|
June 11, 200818 yr #7 Nah Jules...have to display plates up here now. Was only brought in a year or so ago though.
June 11, 200818 yr #8 In Melb if you dont have your plates visible you loose 3 points, of the 5 you are allocated when you get on your P's.. Loose more than 5 and you loose your license... Thank god im off them with all these new laws.. PFFttt passenger restrictions, means instead of 5 guys in one car its now 5 guys in 3 cars.. What yould you do? See whos cars faster??
June 11, 200818 yr #9 lol its just money, ive herd casses of cops using green p plates over here in perth in hoonish type of cars for undercovering , mate aparently got pulled over by 1 when he was being a smart ass to a green p plater, 100m down the track got pulled over and was a cop, he reckons anyway lol.
