Those on the other side (LS1.com) say that a 250rwkw SS with LS1 or LS2 will match a 300rwkw XR6T for mph down the quarter mile... they reckon the big Ford are just too slow out of the blocks and are too heavy...

I find that Hard to beleive... I had a 280rwkw LS1 and my 300+rwkw XR6T feels faster... (except off the mark)...

I seriously doubt it.

older vt's and VX's would be a fair bit lighter then a BA or BF I'd imagine

I have a VS Supercharged and at the time l had 150rwkw, l had a street drag with a HSV LS1 260rwkw, and from take off we were even but from 100kmph he started to pull away and did with only 1 to 2 car lengths.

When l race my brother (XR2DY4) he has me from take off, midrage and top end just hammers me away, so who is posting up this crap that a LS1 with 260rwkw will keep up with an XR6T WITH 300rwkw....hahahahahhaa

Me and my mate have around the same power (240rwkw ish) He has a LS1 VZ. When we race, I beat him outta the hole and keep pulling away... So if I can beat him with about the same power that how the hell can a 250rwkw SS beat a 300rwkw T??

Mind you we dont race as if we are at Calder, my 'private road' aint that long, but its pretty obvious he cant reel me in, so I dont think anything would change if we raced 1/4 mile..

If I beat him my mph would be better yes?

it wouldnt really be fair if I raced my brother for a comparo

he has a 6l 220rwkw and mine is 300

but the VE's are heavy cars aswell.

Mine would be between 1300-1400kg

VS - 1300 - 1400KG

VT - 1500 - 1700KG

VZ - 1600 - 1750kg

I know VE commodores are larger and heavier than the BA-BF, but dont know by how much.

As you can see because of the weight levels of the VS models l kept up with the heavier model HSV 260rwkw LS1. (1300kg compared to 1500kg) = fair difference.
