I hear its the same motor... there was talk of a smaller turbo though, hope not!

This thing better has some revolutionary mechanical advances, because cosmetically it ain't happening. That all new model vibe isn't quite there, not like the VE achieved..

The new FG Falcon turbo has a similar output to the FPV Typhoon (270kW/533Nm versus 270kW/550Nm) but improvements to electronics, driveability and the way it transmits the power to the road as well as revisions to the transmissions (including a new six-speed manual). It also has a Formula One-style launch control mode for the manual designed to improve initial acceleration, suggesting a 0-100km/h time of a little over five seconds should be achievable.

I just lifted these pics from that vid.

the engine has a few external changes,the intake manifold looks to be all plastic,the turbo inlet tract has changed,they reckon its a different turbo but it seems to be a gt35 front wheel and the same .5a/r comp cover the difference must be in the rear wheel/housing

turbo rotation also point up now instead of down indication a different intercooler system
