Im aware that at the ford service I used to talk my car too the monkeys would get "bonus's" if they got through the car repair allocation quicker. This could be why yours wasnt done properely

MY dealer is pretty good. Sometimes even drops the stuff off.

Oh sorry, your talking about the Ford sort of dealer

On a serious note though, What happened is just plain wrong. Send a letter addressed to the appropriate person stateing what happened, your disappointment, DON'T say anything nasty, and suggest they should take action to ensure this doesn't happen again.

State what had to be done to get the car mobile again and also how your and your brother were both disadvantaged by this problem. See how that goes.

This sounds like a good idea. Might send them a letter of concern. I'm not expecting anything to be done, but it might help future customers......

Can I post that without being shot?

#16

Well I won't shoot :loser:

The gentlemanly thing to do I guess would be to contact the dealer principle and see what the outcome is first....but I'm no gentleman :nuts2:

update boys

Wrote the dealer princapal a letter last week. nothing nasty just explaining what happened and my dissappointment. He rang me today and we discuss it all for 15mins.

I'm happy wih the outcome (Didn't get any free sh*t) but he said the right things in my opionion.

Will only be going back if I need warranty work though..........

If you'se really wanna know the dealer let me know.

Cheers Pete

hey Pete, glad to see you're happy with the outcome mate! you're not fuming so I assume he must have been empathetic to your situation.

I don't think there's a need to shame the place, but if others need to know then so be it.

I would however love to know what his explanations were...? or any excuses at all?

was there an offer of any kind of reimbursement? monetary or otherwise?

Cheers

Dan

had my car into a dealer once and when I got it back wondered why the idle was so bunky, was nearly stalling everywhere!

popped the hood once I got home and they had put the big belt thing on wrong, was rubbing badly on the top of something (water pump I think). I fixed it, and took it back the next day with pics of what they had done and demanded a new belt (was just about torn through after the 30 min drive home). they were umming and aaring until I showed them the pics, then I got a new belt. Havent been back to that one since!
