Hey, Just a question to all you guys who might know abit about the 8. What work do you think I would have to do to get my 4sp auto xr8 into the high 12 seconds? Any help appreciated.

Get a Supercharger fitted buddy. Should see u comfortably into the 12's. You will also have that lovely screaming sound of the SC which will be backed up with a tuff V8 note. "Awesome"

For about the same amount of $$$ it takes you to get a XR8 into the 12's, you could buy a fully loaded BF phoon that would run low 12's stock

Thanks! lol. Ive been for a spin in a phoon and it felt dam quick but I didnt realise that they were a low 12 sec car stock!! Crazy FMC, they need togo down toyotas path and make em more conservative...12 sec stock is dangerous for all the dumb dumbs!

Good luck with the 12 sec pass mate I think the most cost effective way to do it is beef the auto and slap a charger on!!!

Don't you mean a high 12 sec stock car? The best time I've seen a phoon run was a 12.8. Either way they are very quick off the show room floor.

What does the Edit box do for the N/A's? I know I would firm up shifts and just tweak fords program... but in a T we can add boost and that's where we get most of our extra power from, but for an XR8, what are the gains?

Fitting a S/C is alot of $$$, like $5000+ spend that on a T and you would be running 11's hehehe

But seriously good luck mate, charge it and whine all the way home....

you will need, , headers, big exhaust, metel cats, Bluepower air box, 4.11 diff gears, 3000 stall, and a good tune, this will run high 12's.

this will run 12's on your standed street tyres. David

Thanks for the replies. David I want to keep the car nice and driveale...how would the gears and stall affect this? I alread have extractors, exhaust and cats done. So what do you guys honestly think is the best option for CAI?
