Creaking Seats

Featured Replies

I love my car, but the only thing I dont like about it is all the creaks and rattles it produces. My seat creaks like bones from a 99 year old nana. When I go over bumps and every time I change gears it creaks from under my seat, driving me crazy. I have had a look under it and all seems in tact. Has any one had this prob and fixed it. Maybe taking the seat out and spraying the springs underneath with silicone spray. WD40 would smell too much.

Simple fix ... lower the seat via the electronic controls as far as it goes.

Proper fix ... find the sqeeks and grease 'em up !!

It is all the way down. Im only 6" and it is still too high. Its got me why Ford put these seats so high. I mean who is going to use the highest setting, a 2" midget. Thanks for the reply. I think there is only 4 bolts holding in the seat.

I had the same problem with my drivers seat just near the end of warranty. Asked the dealer to check it out and he found a crack in the seat base frame. Had to go back once they got a new base in for me, but replaced under warranty and no more creaks. They actually put the original cloth trim over the new base. :suck:

Hey guys !

There is a creaking sound that appears to be comming from the gear shift cover . Any ideas on how to fix that?

My solution when I'm out is to just turn up the stereo, however the kids are not overly impressed with Mum & Dads music choices (AC/DC, Hinder ect , and if you flick over to the cd at the lights sometimes its a little sad with the Wiggles at top volume..... Help me the noises are driving me nuts!!!
