Dags the worst part about going to court is having to sit around watching the other loosers get hammered by the Magistrate.

Generally you will sit for 5 hours and stand for 1 min then sit for 5 mins then stand for 30 seconds then leave with a slap on the wrist.

I have just recived a fine for not voting..... but I did.

My mate got one of these last year, and took it to court. The magistrate agreed it was a trivial matter with no prior history of failing to vote and had the matter dismissed with a caution.

Its the only pathetic threat to get all of us to vote that the governmnets can make, but the couts do see the silly side of it all. Well as long as each election year thus far you havnt failed to vote than your ok.

Sounds like some d*ckhead has decided he's goin to make people goto court who did not do what he wanted them to do to teach 'em a lesson so that next time they'll do what he wants them to do. And he don't care, not coming out of his budget that you go to court.

Having said that, I filled in my consensus accurately because I think there is value historically knowing where we've come from, where we're at and where we're heading. Just don't like beauracratic bullying tactics.

Rules are rules. And by not taking 10 minutes out of your life to answer the questions you're the one wasting the courts' time and money. Fill it out next time, save yourself and the Aussie taxpayer time and money!....

Next time ask for a privacy envelope. When they come to pick it up, they tick you off the list and no ones the wiser.

and $330 for the three times they contacted me...
