I can assure you that there are pleanty of threads about the aps kits and a like and you do not here anthing form the na guys about putting the same stuff into a "t" so I think that we sould encourage each other.

I'll just say one thing about buying superchargers, or anything else car related for that matter.

Dont cut yourself short. If you want a 400rwkw kit but can only afford the 300rwkw kit, save the coin up and get the 400rwkw kit. Initially you will be happy with the 300 kit, but after 2 weeks you'll want more, and you'll end up shelling more out in the long run to get to your 400rwkw.

Trust me, im doing exactly that now. I bought a Powerdyne, blew that, bought a J trim with the intentions never to want to go over 800hp, now im waiting for SummerNats to arrive so CAPA can take my J trim with them so they can upgrade it to a bigger XX trim..... :msm:

try a Pro Charger they are working on kits now and will be out soon, bit more than a CAPA kit but the extra powers worth it.
CAPA had that white BA ute that they put the intercooled kit on and with 240+rwkw, they still said it was slower then a stock Turbo.

Sounds like Bull S h i t to me maybe if my mother was driving it.

These kits deliver the power up high in the range tuning helps but they a very diff than a Turbo and chalk and cheese Vs a root's style blower.

There'll be a lot more details about new blower kits in the next year.

Stand by, to eat your words Turbo owners, ha ha ha.

How much more boost are you going to have to chuck in to get the same horsepower as some of the big power T's? Theres no getting around the fact that a super charger has mechanical loses attached when the time comes to spin the thing. Do you think a supercharged Six would ever reach the same level as BCL's car?

Whatever floats your boat I guess, but like the others, I can't see the point in spending a whack of dough on a NA when there is already a Turbo platform to work from.

I agree.

With the Ford's I can't see the point. The turbos can be had second hand at a great price plus you have uprated internals compared to the NA car. However, it makes more sense for the Late model camira V6. CAPA's kit for that to make 300kW sans IC is around $5K although price is not finalized, but were appearing in ads for VE for around that. The Ford kit is only $5700 for 305kW or $8900 for the kit plus IC plus more boost etc for 350kW.

I can understand why a lot of guys want to supercharge their N/A's. And for good reason.

To be different.

If nobody stepped outside the square, we wouldnt have things like fuel injection.

If everyone was the same, and didnt modify their cars, how boring the world would be.

I applaud the fella's having a crack, if you need any info on blowers, particularly high hp applications, fire away, ill do my best to help. :bum:

If Ford came out with a BA XR6 Supercharged vehicle rather than a Turbo XR6 there'd still be some of us here going right out of our way to fit a Turbo to a XR6 just to be different and see what happens.

No one should ever have a go at anyone (or even question the money aspect)who's happy to stick up the coin to advance the R&D of these vehicles.

I find it funny how some XR6T owners, who have walked the well warn path doing the injectors, IC, tune, CAI then turn around and questioning others who go their own way.

Instead of asking "WHY" try "WHY NOT" guys.

Pass the Rum please hand brake.

This is the sortof discussion I was looking for.. SHoulda looked here before Starting the "Disaster Stories" Thread.

How many Turbos can look out their Window and say "I can Smash A Lamborghini down the quarter"....

How Many Supercharged V8's Can Say, "I can smash a ferrari F40"....

How Many NA V8's can say "I Smashed a Porsche"....

How Many GTR's owners say "Last week I creamed an Aston Martin"....

Is Any of this ringing close to Home?

Well NOSXR and I can Say...

"with No forced Induction or 'push along'... I just creamed a V8" or "I just creamed a GT" (NOSXR's Favourite)....

"SHOULDA SEEN THAT TURBO DRIVER'S FACE WHEN HE REALISED I WAS AN XR6!!!"

everyone is aiming to beat someone, Me included. We all want to be the best. We've just chosen a different Field to play on... Baseline Forced Induction vs modified Naturally Aspirated....

Having Originally going to purchase an R33 GTR Series III... I can say "Yes, turbo's are Fun and that you can't beat the kick of a turbo throwing you into your seat when it gets started!"..... tickets to you Guys! REALLY...

But can you REALLY say that you did something different?

You can add whatever class you want onto your acheivement list but in the end if you beat something in either a race or a dyno comp then the turbo is going to acheive the same or more with much less money spent.

You can say I just beat your T by .2 of a second down the quarter but the T owner will likely tell you that he hasnt spent anything on his and you have forked out bucketloads of cash to pioneer an untried path.

Good on you guys for having a go but where do you draw the line and say this is rediculous, its time for a T.

Im interested in the results an NA motor can give with some boost. Ive got an NA one in my EA with a 3540 strapped to the side waiting on an ECU atm. I would like to have 250 without having to take the head off and ugrade straight away.
