I've had mine done, twice. Second time, I got to have a look at the car on the hoist, and no way can you do it without removing everything.$1000 from Ford eh? I'd be looking at other options, because if you dont change your driving etc, it'll happen again. Then again, I've actually been told that harder bushing can damage the diff housing, and that while urethan/nolathane (I know I got that wrong), could perform better, it could also flog out quicker.Check out this thread: http://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=27476

FORDTECH Member 383 Member For: 23y 3m 21d Location: On the edge Posted 12/11/06 10:29 AM Posted 12/11/06 10:29 AM No the bush shouldn't be welded in.If the bolt is turning then it has stripped the thread and the housing will need to be replaced. As for the time it takes, book time allowed is 3.4 hrs but after doing a few you can get it down to around 2 hrs in and out.Takes about half an hour to remove and replace the bush(providing it isn't welded in).You also require the alignment tools to refit the assy as if it isn't aligned properly it can affect the way your vehicle tracks.
