have just been quoted 850$ from ford and 1ooo$ from another diff specialist to change them and was wondering what was involved that takes a day!!?!?!

anyone done it themself and if in wa keen on giving me a hand??

Yep done it on a customers limo drop the whole rear suspension and diff assy out than dismantle the whole unit take diff centre out cut out or press the old bushes and than press in new ones.

Have not done it on goldie yet but need to do it soon.

I waas fed some crap about having to drop it out on a sling or something and its difficult to get it back in straight???

I also need them helicoiled because the bolt wont tighten..

is this possible or do I need a whole new diff casing or back plate or whatever??

am I gettin the shaft gettin quoted 1k for the job??

how did they find out about you drag racing?

I just had mine done under warranty, ford said they needed it to recalibrate the tail shaft, because if its not aligned properly, it gets bumpy when you drive

dug throught the car and found some slips I didn't even know were in there.

If the centre bolt is stripped than new housing is needed helicoil will not hold this for long.

I still think 1000 big ones is a bit much.

It's not that hard to remove or put in just time consuming.

about 700 t0 800 should pull it up.that is with the housing.

For got to had you could take a holiday and bring it to the gold coast for me to do.
