Going to grab a flash tuner today,

But my stupid GF put $20 of regular unleaded in my car today :(

And I wanna play with my new toy today. Can I put in an octane booster or something similar and change programme or should I wait untill the fuel is used then get the good stuff in her tank?

Take it for a good spin, would not take very long to burn off $20 of fuel. Then fill the tank with your fuel of choice

Just go for a long drive to use up the majority of $20 of unleaded and then fill up with the good stuff.

Given you will be running 10psi on a generic tune without knowing AFR's etc. it's not worth the taking the chance.

Mate put some decent octane booster in, will cost you less than the twenty bucks of fuel you will have to burn off. Dont forget the spark plug gap.

Most of all enjoy.

If he has 91ron fuel in it, there is no way octane booster is going to get near 95ron let alone the 98ron he should be running for the 10psi map

Was his tank empty when the twenty went in?

What RON was in the tank at first?

Did the twenty fill the tank?

Another post were not enough information leads to speculation. Only having my input on what was available.

Crans what is the full story mate and we can provide better advice.

Scotty

PS does the GF rewad this forum?

fuel was put in when the tank was nearly empty.

Nah shes not on this forum but she has now been told Premium is the minimums fuel an is only to be put in if Ultimate is not avaliable.

I might go for a drive to watch the drag racing tonight. Tank should be empty by the time I get home
