I had a similar encounter, moved into Sydney from Melbourne a few years ago renting in a villa unit, 3 months in, got broken into from the rear laundry door. The suckers took everthing thing which was remotely looked electronic.

Thank God for contents insurance and also the assessor being a good bloke who took care of it very quickly.

keep you chin up mate and be confident, you will come good from this.

Sorry to hear that mate, I got done 3 times in 3 years. Same MO, same guys. They wait until they are confident that your stuff has been repalced and then they come back. You need to up your security to pt the mongrels off guard, then they will move on to somewhere else that is easier.

Sorry to hear that Derryk, sounds like the bastard that broke into lisa's place a couple of months ago... did he leave a big shoe print anywhere? (like size 13+)

Phoon, they hit the weakest point of entry unfortunately. I'll be on the horn to the real estate folks here in a bit. If they don't come to the table, I predict that something like this will be going on (unless I want to shell out for a dead bolt but then they'll just go through the tiles):

Yeah Steve, there are prints in the corner where the fence meets the garage which is next to the door the came through. The soil over there is quite sandy so I don't think that forensics will be able to get much if they decided to pour a cast.

Newl , know how you feel mate...... farking \|/s Got done about 18 months back. Broke in through the garage , a day later they came back broke in through a window and took the rest. Pretty sure it was related to the tradies who were doing some work

The guy that broke into lisa's broke a window to open it, and stood on a coffee table that hadn't been dusted in months so it left a perfect shoe print on the table... could discern brand, size and age of tread!

All I can say is sorry to hear about what happened Newl, if It makes you feel any better, I'm pissed off too, stubbed my toe about twenty mins ago.

Sorry to hear about this,

I had an old XF wagon knocked off a few years ago and know the feeling I had

was pretty low , as for my house to be broken into I think I'd go beserk.

I hope the catch the mongrels and string em up by the old (or young) preverbials.
