So we going to asks the power to be limtied.What are peoples experiences and what power levels they reccomend to keep it at.2nd part..How much quicker down the 1/4 will the car be.Cheers in advance....Paulie

Plus you'll fry the clutch on the strip. I have no personal experience but 230rwkws would probably be your safe limit.

Clutch recovered, but it will never be any good on the strip. So no quater miles for me.Kinda has me f*cked how people can mod cars without gearbox being the first mod.Scotty

No strip work, just normal driving, it didn't cope with the increased torque.

The clutch required replacing immediately after Wog tune (fried it on the 2nd dyno run). The box went from perfect (as a T5 could be) to a whiny bag of cogs within 2 months. The car was tuned to 286RWKW and big torque.If torque is held back down low and brought on more progressively, then you may see 240+RWKW. Even then you will eventually have to replace the clutch. BUT. Dial in more torque and you will have issues.

It was never the same after that, always slipping in 5th and 4th, and was starting to get worse in 3rd before I replaced it.
built2redline Member 187 Member For: 21y 4m 23d Location: sh*tney Posted 04/10/06 10:23 AM Posted 04/10/06 10:23 AM mine is at 248rwkw with 700nm torque and the gearbox has lasted 2 months and now its whining in 2nd and 3rd gear, I did have the car at 300rwkw and ~900nm torque but the gearbox died within 2 days of getting the car back
