Looks good, everyone seems to be heading for the quad tips now, is this the way to go? Do you lose any power by going the quad tips instead of just the dual tips?

I have a 2005 ba11 ute (photos to come) is my everyday vehichle. Have had a Genie system fitted with mods. Standard dump pipe (to maintain torque), 3" fully stainless cat thru to two 2 1/2 pipes into high flow muffler and running to the back minus the rear muffler (no need to keep that restriction), exits rear as standard look of twin pipe on driver side. As it spooled up so fast with this system, it cut out at 5000rpm so had to drill two of 2" holes into airbox. Onto the dyno and run to 218kw at wheels without being tuned. As the programmers are having trouble cracking into my computer (should be achieved inside this week) I cant get it tuned to the injectors. Standard everything apart from exhaust and opening up the airbox a bit. Nice low rumble to note on idle, so quiet cruising at 100km/hr, no drone at all, windows up or down it is difficult to hear note. Impressive roar when changing back from 6th to 4th as you wrap up whom ever you are passing. Running very lean so NEED the tune. Shall get that done and let you know the figures

im new to this forum I have question,I have a FG XR6T 2008 and wanted to fit a quad pipe system . the current exhaust come out with the cutout in the lower body moulding. is there a moulding you can get that has the same cutouts on both sides? anyone in qld done this mod?

Firstly a smaller dump pipe with only help low down off boost torque. A dump pipe that is too small will actually increase lag as it means the turbo cant spin as fast as it wants to. A 3" cat seems way too small, especially as you go to twin 2.5" pipes afterwards (that sounds like a strange matchup???). A 3" pipe is still less area than a twin 2.25" anyway! The fact that you dont have a rear muffler will not remove any restriction because it is held back by the 3" cat anyway.

There's quite a few guys on here with the quad tip x-force or redback systems, having said that, a single 3.5" system flows better cos there is less piping wall to cause restriction. The bend that goes from the RHS of the car between the diff and the spare tire well adds even more piping, but they are still good for high 300's.
