  1. Happy Birthday XR6T_ENVY!

  2. I bought my T a couple months before I got off my P plates. I think the law is stupid, but I also kinda see where they are coming from. They wanna avoid unnecessary youth fatalities. Only problem is it doesn't really matter how powerful your car is. If your a dangerous idiot behind the wheel your gunna hurt someone. In saying that, if you ARE a P plater and your driving a T. Right ON! Keep your plates down and drive safely so you don't get robbed by the government! PEACE!
  3. Hello, I bring news of sloppy service and dissapointing outcomes. I recently purchased some guages and a Clarion DVD player from an Autobarn store... I don't know what I was thinking!!! I had originally booked in to have 2 cobalt guages installed along with the dvd player for an agreed price. So come install day I'm all excited and arrive at Autobarn. When I get in I'm told the guages haven't arrived. Then I'm told that the price I was given was wrong and that I would need to pay another $350 bucks. Naturally I told him this was definatley not going to happen. He then has a go at me for not knowing he gave me the wrong price! He said I should've known they were more expensive. It was crazy. AThen he went on to have a cry about the fact he had ordered guages that I wasn't going to pay for. By this stage I was already pretty dissapointed with the service. But I let it go and chose some other guages to be installed. I came back to pick the car up later that day and was crushed to find I had spend alot of cash for crap! The DVD player has a big red dead pixel in the middle of the screen, it swallowed one of my cd's so now it only plays that CD, over and over again! My premium sound with the stacker has been dis-connected and now is useless. The different guages have had some crappy blue globes put in to try and make it match the dash lights, but has failed and cheapened my T. All in all. The experience was a complete waste of time and money. I am still dealing with head office to try and get it all returned but so far no one will return my calls. I guess this is a warning. If you value your T and don't want to install things yourself because your worried about damaging it. DON'T THINK THAT HIRING A PROFESSIONAL WILL WORK! Because if that individual works for Autobarn... You can probably bet he has trouble even spelling the word CAR!
  4. Ha ha ha. 'Interesting overtaking maneuvers'..... It was like watching that video game 'Frogger'. Nice cruise though. Less traffic woulda been nice. Hey Mike, I'm thinking a POD for mine too. Let me know how it sounds. I have to leave the house with the internet now.... *Sigh* PEACE! Alex.
  5. Not sure if anyone has organised a cruise. I thought there was interest in going up to the black spur though. I can't promise I will be awake enough (Going to Camberwell market in the morning at 6:30am!) but if there's enough people I'm in! Also FYI - Bunnings on canterbury road is next to Autobarn. Incase anyone wanted to try something more specific to a car part for the BOV. Peace! Alex.
  6. HellO! POD looks great. Couldn't get the guages I wanted unfortunately but I am more than happy with the POD. Definately a wise investment. Thanks heaps for waiting up on me to pick it up Miss Aly. I will try and post some pics soon. PEACE! Alex.
  7. Thanks for the warning ENVY-T. Wow. That rubber cap problem looks bad. So is someone going to pick up these metal T's? The outside diameter of the BOV is 1" too if anyone needed to know. See you all on sunday.
  8. Cheers dude. Yeah, I need one today unfortunatley. Otherwise I will have to put in a really ugly one. It's horrible
  9. Well... I need a dual guage POD like the ones Miss Ally Sells. I can't get on to her and I am needing this by tomorrow. Anyone know where I can get one real quick? Thanks in advance. Alex.
  10. So 11am on Sunday 16th at Bunnings on Canterbury Road?? I think a few of us are ok with this time and place... Im in, but not to sure about cruising though Bunnings it is! 11am Sunday. Since we are at bunnings, anyone who needs to buy the chair stops can do that there too. I'll bring a drill along for the holes. See everyone there. PEACE! Alex.
  11. Hi everyone. All those that are in for this and can make it on Sunday reply to this post and let me know. Still haven't decided on where to meet. Open to suggestions as I have no idea's other than a big car park at a lake or something similar. Still open to suggestions about a cruise too. Having some internet problems so I can only check my posts now every couple days. PEACE! Alex.
  12. Wow. That is surprising. Shame the car looks so boring
  13. Ha ha ha, Yeah you could be spending that time doing dishes or sweeping kitchen floors James! My woman know's how it goes, car first, everything else later, whenever I can be bothered... Oh geez, I hope she doesn't read this!
  14. You can get a sharp sound without the "Tu tu tu tu tu" by leaving no chair tip on the BOV. It's not my style but it's easily changed. I have a K&N panal filter and a 2nd CAI. My Dose didn't get any louder when I completely plugged up the BOV. It sounded more muffled. YPURV4, you should come along and show us your T and BOV. I've seen the clips of your dose and it sounds awesome. I'd be interested to see exactly what you've done. Peace! Alex.
  15. Hey. If you remove the entire BOV does your car still dose?
  16. Finaly, I can bust out one of these babies -->
  17. They definately look nice. But it's alot to pay for a peice of plastic Anyone need a kidney?
  18. I've tried my BOV with the chair tip with no hole, small holes, big holes, no tip. If your running factory settings with factory boost I think the best sound you can get is with the hole drilled in. of course once everyone that comes along has seen how to do it they will be able to change there's over in about 3 minutes so they can mess around with it to get the sound they are most after. All onlookers are very welcome. Anyone got any problems with doing this on Sunday the 16th? I'm thinking maybe 11am (not too early for all you night owl's) I'm open to suggestions about location too. Cheers. Alex.
  19. Hi Everyone. There has been some interest in having a day for a group BOV mod. This is going to be for everyone in the Melbourne area who doesn't really understand the BOV mod and wants a hand putting there's on. I'm looking at having the event done somewhere in the Eastern Burbs. Please note - Anyone who comes will be doing there own MOD. I am happy to purchase the chair stoppers and pre drill them so they are ready on the day. Your own tools will need to be brought to remove the clamps on the BOV and if necessary the crossover. Please either send me a PM or reply to this post if you are intersted. I will post a time and place once everyone interested has put there name in. Cost for the parts will be very low. Probably about $2.00 - $3.00 for the stopper. Currently 3 people are interested in coming along. Onlookers are welcome, might be a good chance to say Hello to other Melbourne forum members. PEACE! Alex.
