Well my plan for the misses to smother me in gifts for buying her the TT has worked, Im alowed to biuld myself a new PC for my birthday.

I currently have an FX-53 AMD 64 CPU

MSI Neo plat MOBO

X800XT ATI G card

1 GIG DDR Corsair comp ram.

2x 200 gig HDD

Going to biuld a

AMD Athlon 64 X2 5000+AM2

Foxconn C51XEM2AA- 8EKRS2H Socket AM2 NVIDIA nForce 590 SLI MCP ATX AMD Motherboard

SyncMAX Express 1GB (2 x 512MB) DDR2 800 CL=4 (SMAX-512M-2R6404)

2x 200 gig HDD

ATI Radeon X1900XTX PCI-E 16X

im hanging out :thumbsup: Its so cool to have a new PC and start fresh :D

Anyone used any of these new components ? Views if you have please :blush:

Nice choice of cpu, not a fan of the foxconn boards though.

IMO, Instead of the 200gb hdds, I'd get 2 x 250gb SATA-II WDs with a 16mb cache. Very fast drives and only like 160 bucks now.. cheap as chips.

I'd go with an nvidia gforce card too, but that's open to opinion ;D

apart from that, looks like a good setup :laughing:

what about 2 x 320GB Sata2 with 16mb caches!!! I can get them for $158ea at the moment.. I cant believe how cheap hardware is nowadays!! less than 50c a GB !

Hmm i dont really know what all those numbers mean :spoton: but 2x320gb for 158 each sounds pretty awesome...imagine how much pron would fit on those.... :fool:
