Tried reflash, made no difference.

I don't have any sophisticated instruments, but have had to work on eliminating other sources of the problem.

There is fuel pressure, but no fuel enters the engine, so unless all 6 injectors clogged up simultaneously, I dont have any other explanation.

Allan if you have an old analouge multimeter with a needle that can measure milliamps you should be able to hook it up in line with the injector and test to see if the injectors are drawing current when the car is cranking....?

Had a breakthrough this evening :Welcome2FordXR6t:

Luke, your comment about the low current drawn by the injectors got me thinking, and I went and removed one of the injector plugs again, just to measure it once more

I discovered a little CRC 2-20 pooling at the bottom of the plug on the injector, as I sprayed these before assembling the engine. Got me thinking, whether the 2-20 was just slightly conductive, and could be interfering with the injector signal, so I blew the plug clean on 2 cylinders, tried cranking, and alomost immediately the engine fired on a couple of cylinders.

Belw out the remaining plugs, and I can now get the engine running, but not perfectly, so tomorrow I am going to go through all connectors and get them cleaned out.

Fingers crossed

Ah the old crc 2-20 sucking current out of the injectors trick....thats the second oldest trick in the book....

Good stuff Allan... :Welcome2FordXR6t:

Weeel that appears to be part of the problem.

Now I appear to have an oil pressure switch issue (there is plenty of pressure), as the engine only start momentarily and then stops again, and then the oil lamp flashes and sounds an alarm 3 times, so need to look upo what that means

Ah well, burning the midnight oil again :Welcome2FordXR6t:

No but I did think earlier that Thursday was the first wet day since getting my T back on the road, so mayby that has something to do with it

a lot seems to have gone wrong while the car was parked overnite. Make sure that while checking for faults you didn't make new ones ie plugs not connected etc
