I run an edit and injectors and put out 261rwKW @ 10.5psi, as most have said I have reached the limit of the Mkii valve springs at this power level. As I have plenty of headroom left in the injectors 280 to 290 is possible after fitting stronger valve springs , then other retrictions wil come into play, cat, intercooler and I can Guarantee I will need a new clutch shortly after.

Do you need valve springs in a moded T I say yes, but If money is tight get the Edit and injectors and when you can get the valve springs, then get your tuner to bump up the power

There was a thread a while back where a couple of tuners had decided that the Mk2 springs were the same as the Typhoon and XR8 springs.

As for the bigger Cat on BF - could be just a different shape to fit around a different transmission, or another supplier, or a cat that soaks up more pollution for new regs, I dont remember seeing that the cat flows more air/ is less restrictive.

One way to extend the power level without valve springs is to invest a high flow cat. The drop in back pressure will help out.
