From your experience will fitting 19inch mags effect the accuracy of the cars speedometer??

Any other issues I should no about before driving with them, other than stay on tarmac ???

according to a thread which was posted not long ago, there is a website which calculates your speedo accuracy by comparing the size of your standard wheels to the sizo of your new wheels.

I think with 275-30-19 compared to 235-45-17, the difference was an increase of around 3% on the speedo which is nothing really.

I have 245, 35 by 19s and when I go through those speedo checks that tell you how fast you are going, my speedo is spot on. They will make your ride a little harsher though as you have less air in them and they are heavier. Be prepared to pay about $270 for half descent tyres per corner.

Ford has produced the speedo to allow for different size rims from the factory. With 17s you find the speedo is showing higher than you are actually doing by about 4km/h at 100... increasing the rolling diameter will bring this closer to no error at all.

Same here 245X35 19 and speedo is spot on.

Sorry to buck the trend but my 245/35/19's make my speedo read 4km/h under at 110km/h . But this is when checked by the fixed radar displays. When I use the 5km signposted checks it is spot on. Go figure.

Best bet is to find someone with a GPS and check it that way, its the most accurate.
