It appears that if your not in the "in crowd" your wasting your time!

Yeh those "in crowd" wanna make me puke my frickin' guts up

Talk to your tuner and see how much you can package into the tune.

The knowledgeable people on here probably do get sick of all these questions, but hey "That what forums are for" to share info!

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

Mate, forums are for sharing info BUT if you know that much, you'd also know that THERE IS A SEARCH BUTTON!

Have a look around at, ohhhh, I dunno, the 87,086 threads on cats and then see if the majority of people here don't share info.

You are asking people to regurgitate, not share.

Lumpy :pinch:

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

Well then Lump, if you're so knowledgable why didn't you use search button to find at least one of the 87,086 threads on cats and post the link? :glare:

Wonder where the guy gets the idea that some members from this forum consider themselves above others and can't share their knowledge to help others out...

If you dont want to have to pay twice for custom tuning, then it would be a good idea to do as many mods as you can at the same time then get the tune.

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

Thanx for your reply. It's a shame that a big percentage off members from this forum consider themselves above others and can't share their knowledge to help others out. It appears that if your not in the "in crowd" your wasting your time!

Bullsh*t :glare:

Exactly Luke!

LightningXR6T, you think comments like these will help you get answers again in the future. 5 hours for a reply is hardly an eternity. :pinch:

Now to the topic at hand...

I can't comment on the performance of the Metal Cat as I'm using a SMB cat. In saying that changing the cat does offer real gains but it depends on what level of mods you currently have. It appears as though you have just edit and nothing else so I'd be looking at other items rather than a cat at this point in time, such as injectors. Your cat will not be a major restriction at your current level of mods.

If you do replace the cat, get it fitted the when they do your custom tune.

Thankyou Adam for your answer! It actually took 3 days and over 100 views and a statement that I appoligised for to have my question answered fully.

I have appoligised to all yet you publicly call me a fool. This is probably why I made the statement I did.

I did?

I'm sure everyone accepts your apology, as do I.

This is probably why I made the statement I did.

You made your comments long before I posted anything in this thread.

Give it time...

Don't be a w@nker and expect an answer straight away... remember you are asking a fairly pointed question... with regards to how a new cat will perform with generic tune...

Not many of us run generic tunes... we see the value in a custom tune... if that puts me in the 'in' crowd then so be it...

Willl your car run better with a bigger cat... yes it will, that is the major restriction in the factory exhaust... so of course it will perform better with aftermarket cat...

Custom tune is the way to go matey...

My car has stock cat, stock dump pipe, stock intercooler with Nizpro injectors, valve springs with edit and makes 304rwkw... it made a best of 270.1rwkw with just edit alone... get a custom tune... and then make your decisions from there....
