Paradoxx Colossal Member Member 5,049 Member For: 22y 25d Gender: Male Location: Perth, WA Posted 17/02/06 09:28 AM Posted 17/02/06 09:28 AM Okay got the turbo bolted back on, replaced the intercooler hose clamp and it's nice and tight (looks like it's holding well), loaded both 8 and 10PSI tunes in and tested on a very quiet road. From what I can feel there is plenty more power there with the 10 psi map, but with both tunes I am hearing a high pitched whistle sound (not the turbo sound, it sounds more like air venting out a small hole)... Are there any other weak points in the cooler lines that need attention? What about the BOV clamps? Where could that noise be coming from?It really feels like it's lacking the punch that I experienced in another car. Also experienced surging in power at full load (throughout the revv range), kinda like the old overboost feeling. I know I know, it needs a custom tune, but at this stage (and my current bank balance) I would like to iron out the physical bugs first.CheersSteve

Now it sounds fine (no exhaust noises from the engine bay). Be good to get it on the dyno and see where the sound comes from.
